เรื่องย่อ:
จอน วู (รับบทโดย คัง ดง วอน) ซึ่งมีชีวิตอยู่ในอดีตเมื่อ 500 ปีที่แล้ว และถูกขังเอาไว้ในภาพเขียน จอน วู จะต้องออกตามหาเครื่องดนตรีวิเศษที่เรียกว่า manpaseokjeok ให้เจอก่อนที่มันจะตกไปอยู่ในมือของศัตรูของเขานั่นก็คือ ฮวา ดัม (รับบทโดย คิม ยุน ซยอก) เพื่อที่จะเป็นอิสระจากพันธนาการเหล่านี้ ในเวลาเดียวกัน เขาดูเหมือนจะเป็นนักรักมากกว่าวีรบุรุษนักรบ และเขาก็ได้พบกับหญิงสาวที่มีหน้าตาคล้ายกับคนรักของเขาเมื่อหลายร้อยปีก่อนที่ชื่อ โซ อิน คยอง หญิงคนรักของ จอน วู (รับบทโดย อิม ซู จอง)

Gang Dong Won-Kim Yoon Seok-Lim Soo Jeong are the casting for 'The war of flower' director's new film
Gang Dong Won, Kim Yoon Seok and Lim Soo Jeong have been cast for 'The war of flower' director Choi Dong Hoon's new movie 'Jeon Woo Chi'(Production: 영화사집).
(Younghwasajib~movie office house) said on 29 that "Gang Dong Won, Kim Yoon Seok, Lim Soo Jung and Yoo Hye Jin were cast for new movie '전우치' of director Choi Dong Hoon.
The movie depicts Choson period's Taoist'전우치'(Jeon Woo Chi), who was wrongly accused and trapped in a picture scroll, and finds freedom 500 years later in modern time. The movie draws up aspects of action such as confronting or fighting against ghosts who disturb the human life. Together with 'Hong Gil Dong jyeon'(dada: jyeon~the highest potition in the ancient days), 'Jeon Woo Chi Jyeon' is also a typical classical liturature book about a hero, the movie is again an action fantasy upon the principal change in the modern and character's motif.
Although Gang Dong Won(?)excels in Taoist magic, character Taoist Jeon Woo Chi is a person who gains more wonmen's conern by his elegance than his acchievements. Ghosts undertake the mission of chasing him because he breaks the conditions of getting out of the seal, he is a mischievious person who always drives in the disturbance and rashness.
After prudent characters in 'Our Happy Time' 'M' etc, Gang Dong Won decided on slendid action acting through a special character in 'Jeon Woo Chi'.
Lim Su Jeong will star the heroin 'Seo In Gyeong', who is the woman of Jeon Woo Chi and will make a loveline with the superhero.
Kim Yoon Seok features Taoist named 'Hwa-dam', a special person to Gang Dong Won's character. In Choson period, Hwadam is the one who assists wizards and it's him who traps Jeon Woo Chi; in the modern he controls ghosts and again faces to Jeon Woo Chi.
Yoo Hye Jin is cast to be Jeon Woo Chi's buddy,'Cho Raeng Yi'. 'Cho Raeng Yi' is a 'dog' under the shape of a human in fact, this one hates to death having to go back to the original appearance.
Director Choi Dong Hoon was assessed to be the one who furthers Korean movie genre by such movies as '범죄의 재구성'and '타짜', this time it is eye-catching when he challenges Holywood superhero movies by a film using fantasy materials of Korean classical heroic characters and 'Taoist magic'.
August is scheduled to start filming 'Jeon Woo Chi'.

Choi and Lee fly with Korean super hero movie

SEOUL Choi Dong-hoon, helmer of last year's breakout hit "Tazza" and producer Lee Eugene ("Voice of a Murderer") have green-lighted a superhero action movie that is set to be one of the biggest Korean films of the next year.
Pic, tentatively titled "Jeon Woo Chi," borrows from an anonymously written novel from the Chosun Dynasty period featuring a magician who punishes corrupt officials. Adapting and modernizing the story Choi's script sees a cursed Taoist magician resurrected 500 years later to cure the evils of the modern age.
Lee and Choi have assembled an A-list cast headed by Kang Dong-won ("M"), Lim Su-jeong ("I'm a Cyborg, but That's OK") and Kim Yoon-suk in what will be his first major role since this year's smash hit "The Chaser." He plays a dangerous, evil spirit.
Pic is being produced Lee's Cip Cinema on a budget of $10 million. Lensing is set to start in August, with a release tentatively skedded for summer 2009.
