Writer Kim Do-Woo of 내 이름은 김삼순 (My Lovely Sam-Soon) has been preparing her new Drama 여우야 뮈하니 (What's Up, Fox?) for quite some time, but nothing was really set in stone when it comes to casting. First it was rumoured Hyun Bin would be the lead, but as MBC started struggling with Kim over the direction of the show -- Kim wanted something a little closer to her past show 눈사람 (Snowman), while MBC wanted another Sam-Soon -- the young actor dropped out. But the show has just cast its new lead, which will be Go Hyun-Jung, who recently completed shooting for Hong Sang-Soo's 해변의 여인 (Woman on the Beach). The show will be a Wed/Thu Drama airing from October, and will be produced by Kwon Seok-Jang of 결혼하고 싶은 여자 (Marry Me). This will be another romcom in the vein of last year's megahit, but this time there will be no 2nd Generation Chaebol, played by 굿바이 솔로 (Goodbye Solo)'s Cheon Jung-Myung. Its first episode is scheduled to air on September 20, Wednesday (Script writer: Kim Do-woo, Producer: Kwon Suk-jang). The story is about a not-so-bright older girl who dreams of a "fantasy love" and her relationship with her friend's brother who is nine years younger than her. The drama stars Ko Hyun-jung and Chun Jung-myung as the odd couple with such a huge age gap. Ko Hyun-jung stars as Ko Byung-hee, a girl with the heart of a 24-year-old who is actually 33 and working as a reporter in a third-rate magazine company. She frequently finds it hard to cope with the blandness of her life. What she dreams of is working for a company that she can be proud of and finding a man who can provide warm support when she needs it. In addition, she wants to go on a world tour in a camping car with her new love. Suddenly, she gets into an accident with her friend Seung-hye's brother, Chul-su (Seung-hye and Chul-su are played by Ahn Sun-young and Chun Jung-myung, respectively). Chun Jung-myung stars as Park Chul-su, a 24-year-old male working as a mechanic at a car repair shop. Chun makes his first appearance on an MBC drama with this show. Although Chul-su does not have much in life, he is filled with ambition and enjoys life by doing the things he loves: working as a mechanic and traveling. How many people actually find the love they dream of? Until they realize that true love is just around the corner, this couple continues to pursue this unique romantic relationship of "dating a friend's brother" and "dating my sister's friend". People's desire to have their say in everything, to succeed and to be beautiful stems from their deep-rooted disbelief in themselves. They are unable to love themselves the way they are. The underlying reason of the loss of interest in life is the disappointment with people. But even those who get disappointed with other human beings are negligent in loving their own selves. The main character, Kim Minho was born into a family of a business tycoon but his family turned away from him because he was an illegitimate child. While having a hard time because of her mother's re-marriages, Chung Soohee falls in love with Minho, who turns out to be a friend of her boyfriend, Yoo Ji-ahn. Frivolous Choi Miree loves timid gangster Kang Hochul, and agonizes a lot over her lack of self-confidence. Oh Youngsuk calls herself "crazy" and disguises herself in a lie. Young Joon Hee befriends little Kang Hee, but the two girls get into trouble because of Kang Hee's greedy mother. Joon Hee also makes friends with two boys, Dong Young, the son of a military general and Jang Bin. But when North Korean forces invade their town, both girls are separated from their parents and Joon Hee's mother is killed in an explosion. Believing his daughter to have died, Joon Hee's father adopts Kang Hee and raises her as his own daughter. Joon Hee is discovered at an orphanage by Kang Hee's mother, and is also adopted. The trauma of the events causes Joon Hee to block out her childhood memories and she grows up on a small island as Doe Mi, unaware of her true identity. Years pass and all four of their paths cross again, with complicated, destructive results. Doe Mi dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and petty criminal Jang Bin helps her move to Seoul to chase her dream. In the process he falls in love with her, but his feelings are unrequited. Doe Mi meets Dong Young, who has become an aide to the President, and although they do not recognize each other, there is an instant attraction between them. Kang Hee is also working in fashion, and already in love with Dong Young, but is heartbroken when she discovers he has fallen for Doe Mi. Fashion Seventies marks a return to acting for star Lee Yo Won, who retired from the profession after getting married. The series also stars Kim Min Jung as Kang Hee, and heartthrobs Joo Jin Mo and Chun Jung Myung as respectively, Dong Young and Jang Bin. ======================================================== CAST  Lee Yo-weon's role ( Han Deomi) will be a Korean Coco Chanel, one who is outstanding and ingenious in the fashion field.  Joo Jin-mo will play the son of the Secretary of Defense , Kim Dong Young , and the man who helps Deomi (LYW) rise higher in the fashion world.  Kim Min-jeong will play Go Joon-hui, the Elsa Schiaparelli in this drama. She lives as Go Joon-hui (Deomi's real name), after Deomi is lost and her whereabouts unknown.
